Today was the first day I didn't loose any weight. I remained at 244. That means that today, I don't get to eat anything accept 6 apples. That will push me over the plateau. Wonderful.

It's hard to believe! (Day 5)
Well, I weighed this morning and was shocked to see the scale showing I had lost almost 5 pounds. I didn't believe it, so I zeroed it, and tried again. And again. Then I went to the Wii and used it. And sure enough, in a single day, I lost almost 5 pounds. That brings my grand total up to nearly 8 pounds in 2 days. Wow.

Work and Withdrawals. (Day 4)
It's day two of the actual dieting. I'm still not getting hungry, but I am going through withdrawals for burgers, tacos, subs, chips, soda. I had a massive caffiene headache last night as my body quickly detoxed. I WANT A CHEESEBURGER!
Work has been fun. Having a job where I stand and run around for 8 hours isn't really fun when I'm on a 500 calorie a day diet. I'm getting pretty worn out. But I'll carry on. Also, this particular diet is effecting me in other "clogging" ways. Sorry for the TMI.
Oh yea, in one day, I dropped nearly 3 pounds. Awesome.
Thanks for reading!

The diet starts. (Day 3)
For the past two days, I've been fat-loading. It's been nice, but kinda gross too. I felt really bad Saturday night after a day of specifically eating high fat foods. Wasn't as fun as I thought it'd be. Because of that, I've gained two pounds; but that's normal. Today begins the dieting portion.
I'm sitting at work, having just finished my lunch for today. I was surprised to find that I haven't been hungry all day. In fact, at lunch, I wasn't really hungry at all. The HCG is working! Yay! Also, the meager meal I had did in fact fill me up. I feel full, which is really surprising.
I feel a little more empathy now for pregnant women. The HCG affects the same glands in me that it does in pregnant women, which isn't a whole lot; but it is increasing the rate at which I use water. Which means; I'm peeing all the time. Fun stuff.
Anyway, that's the update for the day.

Thank you Dani! (Day 1)
Here's how this diet works:
First two days of the injections are known as "fat loading" days. I eat as much as I can, without gorging myself; in as high a calorie count I can. This serves a few purposes; giving the diet a kind of base to start with and also helps keep my hunger down for the remainder of the diet. That's what I'm starting today! Alright!
The rest of the diet consists of no breakfast. 2 liters of fluids a day (at least. I'll be using mainly water.) For lunch and dinner, I get 3.5 ounces of meat (weighed before cooking) and 3.5 ounces of a vegetable. I get a fruit and some melba toast. Wahoo.
When I reach my desired weight, I stop the injections and for 3 days continue this diet. Then, I spend 3 weeks on an Atkins diet until my body re-adjusts and stabilizes. After which point, I can resume eating normally. The great part is, the diet will have shrunk my stomach meaning I will get full much much more quickly.
So, I got everything ready this morning; mixed the hormone, sterilized my syringe. But I couldn't bring myself to actually inject. See, I have a phobia of needles. A deep phobia of needles. I don't know why, pain isn't really a problem with anything else; just needles. It was like I had a literal barrier between the needle and my body. So, I had to get Dani to do it. Thanks hon! I think as I become use to it, I'll be able to inject myself eventually.
I'll be taking my weight with two devices. We have a bathroom scale. I'll also be measuring on Wii Fit everyday. Whenever I post, I'll make sure to include that days weight. Thanks for reading and please comment!

First Goal! Drop 40 pounds.
So, my first goal on this adventure is to drop 40 pounds as quickly as possible. This is because I'm dead set on sky diving this summer before it gets cold into the fall. However, there is a 230 pound weight limit. Therein lies the problem and the goal. I've got several hundred in cash already prepared for it, but I can't use it until my pesky weight drops. As soon as it does, I'll be posting a video of the dive and everything. For now, here is my goal chart!

I'm going on a diet.
I've tried a great deal of diets. Atkins, slim fast, watching what I eat, super low calorie, all with and without additional exercise. I've played Dance Dance Revolution until I burned 1000 calories a day. In 6th grade, I shot up to 200 pounds but hovered there. I ate pretty much whatever I wanted and didn't seem to gain anything. Until I moved out. I shot up to 265. Yuck. About the only things I haven't tried are eating disorders and HCG. And lets face it, I love food too much for eating disorders. So, I'm going to try my last ditch effort - HCG.
HCG stands for - Human Chorionic Gonadotropin
Here's the wikipedia on it - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_chorionic_gonadotropin
Don't worry, it's doctor prescribed and is garunteed not to mess with me in any weird ways. (It's a female pregnancy hormone.)
It's injection based; get to shoot it up every morning. And then there's a strict diet that goes along with it.
So, I decided to post this blog to update on my status and hopefully get some positive feedback to encourage me to continue! I'll be posting more details on various aspects of the diet as well as some before pictures. (I haven't started the diet yet.)
I currently weight 265ish. My desired weight is about 170. Average monthly weightloss on this diet - 20-30 pounds. Roughly a pound a day. So, please comment and keep reading for me making fun of myself as I hope to shed nearly 100 pounds.
-Kris
P.S. I'm typing this while eating tacos and nachos from Taco Bell. :)
